Loved that it is fully vegan/vegetarian. Loved the Special Combo. The buns I wish it was steamed bit more, I felt the white buns were a bit undercooked comparing the centres of the two. Singapore Chowmein was packed with veggies. I loved how versatile the sauces are- satay and sweet chilli with the special combo and the sweet sauce with the buns. Must say the packaging really impressed me. Delivery was very quick.
The food is absolutely amazing. The way they turn classic Chinese foods fully vegan is really impressive and so delicious. I moved to Leeds for uni a little bit ago and there’s just nothing like this back home - opening up my food and figuring out how they’d made fake shrimp or chicken drumsticks etc as I ate was genuinely exciting. I would definitely recommend the Special Combo box, which is my go-to, as it gives you a little bit of lots of good stuff, and has a great portion size with great variety. I’ve ordered delivery from here a few times now and I will definitely keep ordering and trying new things!
Nottingham branch - I am a huge fan of Wawin's vegan take on british chinese food! The menu is great, lots of choice and always delicious. Although on the more expensive side the portions always go really far and we always have enough for lunch the next day. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken, garlic tofu, fried rice, prawn noodles and satay chicken. All amazing, and can't wait for our next order! Please never ever leave Nottingham! We love you!
Took a lot longer to arrive than the estimated time, and when the food did arrive (chow mein) it is absolutely flavorless! To the point where I'm thinking maybe there's been some mistake? There's literally no sauce on it so its just flavorless tofu and noodles??
I love Wawin so so much!! Even my non-vegan friends are obsessed with the food. I highly recommend the vegan chicken satay. I would also recommend the vegan crispy duck pancakes.
