It's a massive deal when your football team gets back into the Premier League. The energy, the excitement, the bigger matches... it's what fans live for. And to celebrate the triumphant return of Leeds United to the top flight of English football, the club has done something pretty special inside its famous Elland Road stadium. They've teamed up with the creative minds at DT Sports, a specialist division of Design Tonic, to give some of their hospitality areas a major glow-up. Announced on September 4, 2025, a whole 12,000 square feet of space has been completely transformed into four brand-new, seriously cool hospitality suites. It's all about making the match day experience for guests even more memorable for the new season.

A fresh look for a fresh season

So, what exactly is a hospitality suite? Think of it as a swanky lounge inside the stadium where you can hang out before and after a match. It's a place to grab some great food, have a drink, and soak up the atmosphere away from the massive crowds. For Leeds United, giving these spaces a refresh was a big priority. The whole project was planned with military precision to get it all done during the short summer break when there's no football happening. The team behind this transformation is DT Sports. They're a Yorkshire-based company that specialises in sports and stadium interior design, and they know Elland Road inside and out. In fact, 2024 marked their sixth year working with the football club. DT Sports is a special division of a bigger company called Design Tonic, and their whole job is to create exceptional spaces within stadiums. This wasn't just a quick paint job; it was a series of major design projects to create a brand new experience for corporate guests and fans. The Design Tonic team has been working on various spaces at the stadium for years, building a strong relationship with the club. This latest set of projects just takes things to another level.

A closer look at the new spaces

The collaboration has resulted in four completely unique suites, each with its own vibe and personality. Whether it's an exclusive members-club feel or a relaxed steakhouse, there's a design for every type of fan and guest. Let's have a look at what these new spaces offer.

  • The LUFC 1919 Suite: This one feels very exclusive. Named after the year the club was founded, this suite is designed for about 60 people and has the feel of a private members' club. The interior design is super sophisticated, with rich blue velvet seats, cool mirrored glass, and custom lighting. The walls are decorated with vintage photos and even the original architect's plans for the stadium, giving it a proper historical feel. It's a stylish nod to the club's long history.
  • The Gary Speed Suite: Named after a true Leeds United legend, this is a much bigger and more flexible space. It can host up to 150 guests for a match, but it's also designed to be used for conferences and meetings on days when there's no football. The interior has subtle hints of the club's famous colours, and there are big TVs everywhere so you don't miss a second of the action. The suite is also filled with memorabilia and pictures celebrating Gary Speed's incredible career, making it a special place for any fan.
  • The Hisense Leeds Lounge: This is the biggest of the new spaces, with room for 350 guests. It's a flexible dining suite that celebrates sporting legends from across Leeds. The standout feature? An absolutely massive 8m x 2.5m Hisense screen. It provides an incredible match-viewing experience and also makes an impressive backdrop for corporate events. This lounge is all about creating a big, immersive experience.
  • The Peter Lorimer Steakhouse: Another space named after a club hero, this suite is a modern take on a classic American BBQ joint. It can seat 100 people and serves up a BBQ-style menu in a Texan-themed interior. Think rustic wooden beams, classic green and white tiling, and custom artwork by a local Yorkshire artist, Third Eye Signs. It's a completely different design and offers a more relaxed, themed dining experience. Each suite offers something a little different, ensuring the corporate hospitality at the club is truly exceptional.

What the club and creators are saying

Getting four big projects like these done in a short time is a huge achievement. Mark Broadley, who is the Head of IT and Facilities at Leeds United, is thrilled with the outcome. He said:

"We strive to provide exceptional corporate entertaining and hospitality facilities at Elland Road and are committed to continually investing in the guest experience for matchday and beyond. The team at DT Sports have worked very hard to deliver four outstanding new suites for us, all completed in a short, closed season. These new spaces take our offer to the next level, and the response from guests and spectators in the first few weeks of the season has been fantastic."

The creative force from Design Tonic, co-founder Amanda Cook, also shared her thoughts on the successful partnership. The specialist DT Sports division was key to delivering this complex project. She commented:

"We are extremely proud of our longstanding partnership with Leeds United, and it has been a privilege for our DT Sports division to deliver these latest projects. The club has taken a bold step in redefining its corporate hospitality, creating experiences that truly stand apart. Delivering multiple suites simultaneously, alongside a range of partners and to a tight deadline, was a significant challenge but the entire DT Sports team rose to the occasion. We are delighted with the results and excited to see the spaces come to life for the new season."
