role:&nbsp;</strong>We&nbsp;are currently seeking&nbsp;Lecturers to teach across a range of levels as part of our Lecturer in Counselling&nbsp;programme.&nbsp;Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and at weekends.</p> <p><strong>ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, plan and deliver teaching sessions as required by the faculty.</li><li>Design assessments and assess student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.</li><li>Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide academic support and guidance to students.</li><li>Develop, update, and continuously improve course materials.&nbsp;</li><li>Keep up to date with best practice in learning and teaching and ensure that your teaching reflects best practice and embeds technologies that enhance the learning experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Contribute to the design, development, delivery, review and enhancement of programmes of study within the faculty and across GBS.&nbsp;</li><li>Attend meetings as required by the role&nbsp;</li><li>Develop productive working relationships with colleagues within and external to GBS.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in internal and external events, such as programme reviews, open days, outreach activities, and partner visits.</li><li>Undertake a reflective programme of staff development which includes teaching observations, directed study, workshop participation and experiential learning.&nbsp;</li><li>Support and engage in the creation, application and/or dissemination of new knowledge in your field of study and/or in higher education practice.</li><li>Engage with the GBS performance management programme, meeting a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, progression and satisfaction.&nbsp;</li><li>Act as a Module Leader or undertake other administrative/management duties, commensurate with the level of the appointment, and as determined by the Dean or Deputy Dean.</li><li>Take on other responsibilities as required to support the work of GBS, which may include acting in a more senior capacity as part of a programme of professional development.&nbsp;</li></ul> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>A <strong>Master’s degree (MSc or equivalent Level 7 qualification)</strong> in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology, or an aligned field.&nbsp;</p> </li><li>Membership of an appropriate professional body with a complaints procedure to which you are subject.</li><li>Familiarity with, and agreement to work within, the current BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.</li><li>Experience of teaching in UK higher education.</li><li>A passion for education as a transformative activity.</li><li>Experience of, and a passion for, working in widening access environments.</li><li>Excellent IT skills and competence with the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel</li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li><li>Experience of supervising student work and providing support and feedback.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience of supporting learners both face-to-face and remotely.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrable professional conduct in all interactions with staff and students.</li><li>Attention to detail and accurate reporting.</li><li>Ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Ability to work with minimum supervision.</li><li>Ability to work with diverse groups of people.</li></ul> <p><strong>DESIRABLE SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Current BACP counsellor/psychotherapist accreditation or be registered with an appropriate professional body to an equivalent level&nbsp;</li><li>In current, supervised practice as a counsellor</li><li>A Doctoral level qualification in counselling and/ or a demonstrable track record in research or other scholarly activity of relevance to counselling and/or demonstrable success at an equivalent level professionally.&nbsp;</li><li>Teaching qualification: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc&nbsp;</li><li>A Doctoral level qualification in counselling and/ or a demonstrable track record in research or other scholarly activity of relevance to counselling and/or demonstrable success at an equivalent level professionally.&nbsp;</li></ul> <p><strong>KEY RESULT AREAS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Student
