role:&nbsp;</strong>We&nbsp;are currently seeking&nbsp;Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our&nbsp;BSc (Hons) Lecturer in Psychology&nbsp;programme.&nbsp;Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and at weekends.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Design, plan and deliver teaching sessions as required by the Faculty.</p> </li><li> <p>Design assessments and assess student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Provide academic support and guidance to students.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop, update, and continuously improve course materials.&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Keep up to date with best practice in learning and teaching and ensure that your teaching reflects best practice and embeds technologies that enhance the learning experience.&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Contribute to the design, development, delivery, review and enhancement of programmes of study within the Faculty and across GBS.&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Attend meetings as required by the role&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Develop productive working relationships with colleagues within and external to GBS.&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in internal and external events, such as programme reviews, open days, outreach activities, and partner visits.</p> </li><li> <p>Undertake a reflective programme of staff development which includes teaching observations, directed study, workshop participation and experiential learning.&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Support and engage in the creation, application and/or dissemination of new knowledge in your field of study and/or in higher education practice.</p> </li><li> <p>Engage with the GBS performance management programme, meeting a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, progression and satisfaction.&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Act as a Module Leader or undertake other administrative/management duties, commensurate with the level of the appointment, and as determined by the Dean or Deputy Dean.</p> </li><li> <p>Take on other responsibilities as required to support the work of GBS, which may include acting in a more senior capacity as part of a programme of professional development.&nbsp;</p> </li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>An appropriate postgraduate qualification in Psychology and/ or a demonstrable track record in research or other scholarly activity of relevance to Psychology&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience of supporting learners both face-to-face and remotely.&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrable professional conduct in all interactions with staff and students.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience of teaching in UK higher education.</p> </li><li> <p>A passion for education as a transformative activity.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience of, and a passion for, working in widening access environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent IT skills and competence with the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel</p> </li><li> <p>Experience of supervising student work and providing support and feedback.&nbsp;</p> </li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p>Attention to detail and accurate reporting.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work with minimum supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work with diverse groups of people.</p> </li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>DESIRABLE SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>A Doctoral level qualification in Psychology and/ or a demonstrable track record in research or other scholarly activity of relevance to Psychology and/or demonstrable success at an equivalent level professionally.&nbsp;</p> </li><li> <p>Industry experience in the field of Psychology.</p> </li><li> <p>Teaching qualification: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc&nbsp;</p> </li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>KEY RESULT AREAS:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Student attendance</p> </li><li> <p>Student submission
