Working closely with Lead Lawyer <strong>David Chant</strong>, you’ll play a key role in handling complex <strong> health & safety, and serious motor matters</strong>—often from the very outset of an incident through to resolution.</p> <p><br />This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys both <strong>technical legal work and client interaction</strong>, and who is passionate about delivering high-quality legal solutions while building strong, trusted client relationships.</p> <p><br /><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work alongside a highly respected Lead Lawyer on complex cases</li><li>Gain hands-on experience from day one</li><li>Build expertise in a specialist and growing area of law</li><li>Be part of a supportive, team-oriented culture</li><li>Opportunity to develop client relationships through training and mentoring delivery</li></ul> <br /><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong><br /><p>In this varied and hands-on role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Analyse prosecution evidence and assess its implications for clients</li><li>Draft witness statements and review client evidence</li><li>Collate, organise, and summarise case materials for senior lawyers</li><li>Liaise with courts, coroners, regulators (HSE, CQC, Police) and external experts</li><li>Prepare and serve defence case statements, sentencing and mitigation bundles</li><li>Draft submissions and support case strategy development</li><li>Attend interviews under caution, inquests, and trials alongside Counsel</li><li>Conduct legal and regulatory research (including HSE guidelines)</li><li>Review medical records, post-mortem reports, transcripts and CCTV evidence</li><li>Coordinate meetings, site visits, and expert appointments</li><li>Support clients sensitively in often challenging and high-pressure situations</li></ul> <br /><strong>What we're looking for:</strong><br /><p>We’re looking for someone who is:</p> <ul> <li>? A <strong>qualified Solicitor</strong> with <strong>NQ – 4 years PQE</strong> in ideally one or more of the following specialisms: <ul> <li>Health & Safety </li><li>Regulatory </li><li>Inquests</li><li>Traffic Commissioner</li><li>Serious Motor</li></ul> </li><li>? Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities</li><li>? Detail-focused and confident working with case management systems</li><li>? A strong communicator, able to build rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels</li><li>? Calm, resilient and professional under pressure</li><li>? A collaborative team player with a proactive, flexible approach</li><li>? Sensitive and empathetic in dealing with clients facing difficult circumstances</li><li>?
