We're partnering with a high-growth, product-led tech business operating in a complex, data-driven environment. They're expanding their engineering teams and hiring multiple Tech Leads / Engineering Managers to play a key role in their next phase of growth. This is a fully remote UK opportunity offering real ownership across people, platform, and architecture. What you'll be doing Leading and developing a small team of engineers (approx. 4) Operating in a hands-on leadership role (circa 60–70% coding) Owning the technical direction of API-first platforms Driving the evolution from legacy systems to modern, scalable architecture Ensuring high standards across code quality, testing, and delivery Acting as the technical authority and escalation point within your team Collaborating closely with Product and QA to deliver robust solutions Mentoring, coaching, and supporting engineers in their career development Contributing to hiring, team growth, and building a strong engineering culture ⚙️ Tech environment Backend: PHP (Symfony), Go (Golang) Frontend: Vue.js Database: MySQL Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes CI/CD: GitHub Actions You'll be working on high-scale systems , processing thousands of requests per minute, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and scalability .
