I recently rented a car from Europcar Leeds City and had a fantastic experience! The selection of vehicles was impressive, with very good cars that were well-maintained and comfortable. The prices were also quite attractive, making it easy to find a great deal. Plus, the rental process was smooth and hassle-free, which made my trip all the more enjoyable. Amazing little car for a great price. Customer service was spot on from them and they allowed me to extend it at very last minute due to an emergency that came up! Would highly recommend
The customer service failed to inform me that their branch will be closed for the time it said to return the vehicle on my rental agreement. This was on New Year’s Eve. When I arrived at the branch, they don’t have a system in place where you can leave the vehicle when out of hours, like many other rental firms. When I rang the company they said we were closed, and we’ll now be opening after new years. The advisor on the phone was very rude and told me it was my fault (even though the rental agreement said drop it off at the time I was there). He then proceeded to tell me you’ll have to keep the car for another 2 days and said we’ll automatically charge you £400 on the card on file. So essentially they forced me to keep a car that I didn’t need for another 48hrs and charged my credit card. All because they didn’t have an out of hours drop off, and they didn’t tell me that the branch will be closed. For anyone wondering the car in question was a 5hitty Ford puma that I had to pay £600 for 3 days. Absolute thief’s. You’re better of going to Sixt. Service is 10 10 and they have a out of hours drop off
If i could give 0 stars I would. The service received from Europcar has been absolutely diabolical. I was outsourced for a courtesy car by my insurance to europcar. Firstly, they put me into a manual vehicle when my car is an automatic. They reassured me multiple times that there would be an automatic vehicle waiting. I’ve tried to raise a complaint multiple times and they keep referring me to my insurance. My insurance then switched the company that would provide me the hire and off-hired the vehicle from Europcar. This was done on Tuesday, but no one collected the vehicle. Come wednesday, i received an update saying the car will be collected between 2-4. I got a text saying the driver was on route at 3:20pm. I was waiting around until 5pm until i called to query. They said they had not sent anyone and are unsure why i received them messages. Thursday arrives and I have them all the details as to where the car needs to be picked up from (my workplace). Thursday, they go to the wrong address to pick up the vehicle. My workplace is 6 minutes away from where they went to collect the car. Instead of coming to the address they returned to the branch and I had to wait again. It’s now Friday and they have still have not collected the car. Their excuse for not providing an automatic car was that they did not have one available. Well if you take this many days to collect a vehicle, obviously you aren’t going to have cars available. Poor communication, poor conduct of staff on the phones. The last guy I spoke to called Ash was probably the most pleasant of the lot so no trouble for Ash, as for the rest of them, rude, condescending and misleading. To say they’re meant to be governed by the BVRLA, they’ve got extremely poor standards. The head office are the ones on the phone and the Leeds Branch is atrocious. If anyone is an insurance customer, stay away from Europcar :)
Shocking company. My disabled Mothers car broke down so had be towed to the garage. Was assured by these charlatans that we would get a 1 hour slot at 10am today, to deliver the car. Took the day off so I was in to recieve delivery of the car and still not heard a thing. Rings them up and apparently they are waiting for the car to get to them. Absolutely horrendous service.
