SIXT Car & Van Hire - Leeds

For the branch: Had a great experience. Customer service was great. Mo is a great guy who assisted me very well and was very considerate. There was another guy (probably the supervisor) with Mo who was also very helpful. For sixt: Prices are slightly higher but the car was great.

NEVER BOOK WITH SIXT UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED Horrible experience. This is a whole scheme to scam people. They claim they’ll have ur car ready but when u go to collect, they’ll say it’s not available. How can you not have a car that WE BOOKED?? They refused to give a refund and were so disrespectful. Not only did they claim to not have the car, they offered the car we were wanting to the customers who came in after us. How does that even work??? Just look at their Facebook comments. Every single person in the comments have been charged for scratches that the company themself put in the car. They also invoice you randomly, taking money out of your bank. Just read the Facebook comments before booking!!!!!!!

My friend uses them, so I decided to give them a try too. I liked that I could simply point to the car I wanted, and that’s the one I got. It says a lot about the convenience and flexibility of the service. When I dropped the car off, the person who handled the return was excellent. He already had a list of pre-existing damages, so I didn’t have to stress about anything I hadn’t caused. He inspected the car efficiently and professionally. Also, he was a solid car guy, friendly and knowledgeable. He answered a lot of my curious questions about the car.

Had a car booked this morning for 2 and a half days. Got quoted under £400 including deposit on the website 5 days prior. I turn up to the Leeds Branch to pick the car up, and magically the price went up to over £700. On top of that, they didn’t have the car i booked for which was a compact vehicle and then added additional charges for that being an upgrade, which had nothing to do with me. Asian gent at the desk was almost on his knees for commission the way he was trying to upsell all these extra covers such as window and tyres. You genuinely couldn’t make it up. Do not hire from these guys please.

Terrible. Booked online through uber and paid £84 for a mini for two days. I called them before hand to check what I needed to bring for the necessary checks. I was told a debit card and my license along with another photo ID. Upon arrival, they took my license off me, did a search without confirming if the address on my license is correct and simply said it’s failed. I then gave him my actual address which is registered with my bank account and he still said it’s failed and that he could not provide me with a car. He them proceeded to tell me that I can only get a refund through uber as I used uber car hire. I contacted uber and they said they couldn’t offer a refund either. So the guy who told me uber would, just wanted to get me out as they were closing in 20min. They took my money and just sent me on my way without a care in the world. I then went to enterprise and they gave me a car within 15mins with no hassle at all. I recommend using enterprise as I explained the situation to them and they went over and above to help. Avoid sixt, robbing sods!
