I would like to share my sincere appreciation for the excellent support I received from Fran Addison. She assisted me with my account after I moved into my new apartment and helped resolve several questions I had regarding billing and charges. From the first contact, she was extremely professional, patient, and attentive, taking the time to carefully review my situation and explain everything clearly. Fran went above and beyond to investigate my concerns, particularly regarding an unexpected charge and the confusion around utility billing dates. She made sure to look into the details thoroughly and kept me updated throughout the process. Her communication was always prompt, friendly, and reassuring, and she handled everything with great care and efficiency. Edited on the 21/10/25 to include additional attachments Fran was really helpful-she even dropped keys off at my old flat (whilst I still lived there), which I really appreciated it. She has also been responsive to my complaints about residents behaving in an anti-social manner (leaving rubbish in communal areas) which I appreciate. I had a few minor maintenance issues like a plinth board & radiator needing reattaching, a kitchen sink leak, & a loose plug socket, which the agent dealt with promptly. The contractor that attended was professional & completed all the jobs within his remit. But, there is an issue with the hot water supply in the kitchen & bathroom sink. So, the water is only hot for 45 seconds & then lukewarm/cold. A plumber attended & said this is due to the size of the boiler & that a larger boiler would be needed for continuous hot water in the sinks. The agent has advised that 45-60 seconds of hot water is adequate & that the landlord is under no obligation to address this issue. 45 seconds of scorching hot water is not adequate for daily use & is a breach of contract, & in my tenancy agreement it states the landlord is responsible for ensuring an adequate water supply. I’ve now been forced to escalate my complaint to the Council, Union & Redress Scheme, which is stressful & should have been unnecessary. I am also considering reporting this to Trading Standards for unfair treatment, as I was not made aware of this issue before I signed my contract. @CityRise please now contact the landlord to seek approval to provide me with an adequate & continuous hot water supply in the sinks. Fran has been amazing at helping us through the referencing and financial checks process. The process was very quick and Fran kept us informed throughout. (We are currently in the move-in process so I cannot comment on CityRise as a whole)
