This agency has been one of the most distressing and unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had as a tenant. They hid serious issues about the property before I moved in, and once I signed the contract, everything went downhill. The alarm in the flat made a constant, unbearable noise that made it completely impossible to live there. I was forced out of my own home for weeks, waiting for repairs that they repeatedly promised but never carried out. What shocked me most was their attitude. Even after I explained the situation face-to-face how I had been living out of bags, unable to sleep, unable to stay in the flat , they refused to take responsibility. Instead, they forced me, the tenant, do the maintenance work myself. I felt abandoned, disregarded, and treated as if my wellbeing meant absolutely nothing to them. I originally chose Hunters because of their high rating on Google, but now I understand how misleading that is. The negative reviews describe the exact same behaviour I experienced, and the agency continues to ignore most of them. It is deeply worrying that an organisation can act this way and still present itself as trustworthy. For me, this wasn’t just a bad service; it was an exhausting and emotionally draining experience that left me feeling completely unsafe and unsupported. I would strongly urge anyone considering renting through this agency to think twice. No one deserves to be treated the way I was.

Hunters were excellent when I was searching for a new home to rent in Leeds, but since I moved in it has been a constant uphill battle. The communication between the team is nonexistent meaning maintenance requests are never completed or even responded to. I am constantly having to send the same email to 4 different people to get absolutely anything done. When I have brought these points to their attention I am met with defensiveness. I have really loved the flat I found through Hunters but I will not be renewing my tenancy purely because of the lack of communication and professionalism at the Leeds branch.
