Had my hair done today by Abigail at Allertons Leeds and I couldn't be happier! She gave me a lovely trim with layers and finished it off with a beautiful blow dry. She's not only a talented hairdresser but also such a lovely person to chat with! Thank you, Abigail x

I came in today for a colour consultation. I have bright pink hair and wanted to change the colour. I was very disappointed in the fact that the lady who saw me said she couldn't help me and that I needed to come in again for another consultation with a more experienced member of staff. I took time off work to attend the appointment and when I initially booked the consultation I was told the stylist was a specialist at colour correction which was a lie. I completely wasted my time and will look into a more professional salon.

Tom is the absolute best. I’ve never coloured my hair before and based on how dark my hair was (the most darkest form of brown) Tom managed to pull off the unexpected. I am so glad I went to him.

❌If I could give zero stars, I would. I usually don’t bother posting negative reviews, but Allertons Salon absolutely deserves this so others don’t waste their hard-earned money like I did. I paid £230 for a keratin treatment that did absolutely nothing. No improvement whatsoever, my hair looked exactly the same, or even worse, with dry, rough ends and frizz all over. Not even a 1% difference, no exaggerations. I have the proofs, pictures and videos from before and after and I can post more of them if needed. I followed every single instruction, even spent over £50 or more on sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner they recommended, and still got zero results. When I complained right after the first wash, I was met with silence, ignored on Instagram, no reply to emails, and 3 phone calls where I was passed around with pathetic excuses: “The stylist is on holiday,” “the receptionist is a replacement,” “someone will get back to you.” Nobody ever did on their own. After wasting more money on transportation and time going back and forth in person (because they are based in city center so you can’t really go on car and bus seems to be a cheaper option), I finally managed to speak to the stylist (and this took more than a month’s time after the treatment lol). The ridiculous excuse I got was that their treatment is “gentler” and products used are the best but they don’t know why I didn’t have the results. I’ve had keratin treatments many times before and NEVER ended up with such worthless results. Even funnier, I was suggested to try taking smaller sections of hair when blow-drying to maybe see a difference. Are you serious? The entire point of paying for keratin is to make your hair more manageable and save time styling, why should I have to spend even more time struggling with it? I have a baby at home, which is exactly why I wanted smoother, easier hair in the first place. And as a pathetic “compensation,” they handed me a few tiny Kerastase samples you literally get for free with any online order over £70. And they tried to claim this junk was worth £100 and apparently I was being compensated for what they did to me, wow.😂 I initially assumed I was being given some full size products or something and had to visit them again to grab those only to be further disappointed and wasted more money and time in visiting them. Do they honestly think customers are that gullible? No apology, no refund, no accountability, just laughable attempts to cover up the fact they didn’t deliver any results and happily took my money anyway. I don’t like any drama so I didn’t even say a word and just came back home but I was extremely angry, frustrated and just overall very sad! While the staff acted polite and stayed respectful throughout, respect is meaningless when you have to beg to be heard, spend weeks chasing them, and still walk away with absolutely nothing to show for it. Save yourself the stress, money, and humiliation and avoid Allertons Salon at all costs, atleast they aren’t for Keratin Treatments that I am sure about. An absolute disgrace of an experience.

Tom is such a fantastic hair stylist. Always attentive, listens to what the client wants, and gives his professional recommendations which makes you feel more confident. I have been going to Tom for a colour for almost a year now and it always looks amazing. I always feel very safe in his hands. 10/10 for Tom and his skills, I couldn’t recommended enough.
