Very poor first experience. Allianz’s system failed to process my payment correctly, misclassified card, and left my money ring-fenced. I then had to pay twice basically. Complaint handling was slow, contradictory, and unhelpful. Not the level of service you’d expect from a major insurer.
What a crock of crap. Bought insurance to cover 2 event tickets & had to cancel due to an injury with all medical documentation available. Ended up speaking (or trying to speak) to ‘David’ in a call centre somewhere. Terrible line, terrible spoken English & a complete waste of time. Ended up putting the tickets back on Ticketmaster. Luckily we only paid £7.50 for the insurance. Avoid.

Applied online for buildings and contents, took my money didn't set up a policy. Couldn't get through to speak to anyone. Disgraceful service. I am waiting for an email response. Never again.
