This specific Shell station is consistently excellent. The pumps are modern and easy to use, and the forecourt is always clean and well-lit, which feels very safe, especially at night. The staff inside are polite and efficient. I particularly appreciate their selection of fresh coffee and healthy snacks. It's clear that this location is well-managed. A top-tier fuel stop!
Misleading price displays and when you go inside and buy, for example washer liquid, and use their parking space to fill up your car, you get a parking notice and end up paying £60. Clearly, ripping off customers. Expected better from shell.
Have to give a 2 stars whilst sometimes the staff are okay on occasion they fail to live up to expectations. One example was in there to buy a couple of items, and the cashier was on the phone, I understand sorting something out for I think another customer however no acknowledgement was given to me like "I will be with you in a sec" just got completely ignored, this would have been fine if it wasn't for another person coming in and they got acknowledged by the cashier. So I put the stuff back and left didnt feel valued one bit.
Misleading Beer Pricing – Be Careful Went in this afternoon 17/07/25 to buy a few beers. I noticed a prominent red offer sign on the fridge advertising Birra Moretti at around £5.50 or £6.50 (I can’t remember the exact figure), so I asked a staff member to get it for me, since customers can't open the fridge themselves. When I got to the till, the price rang up as £7.75. I questioned it, and they told me I must have confused the offer with a different product. Still unsure, I went back to double-check the fridge — and the offer sign was suddenly gone. The same staff member told me the sign had "just fallen down". Honestly, it felt more like they removed it on purpose once I raised the issue. Whether intentional or careless, this kind of pricing trick is unacceptable. What really upset me wasn’t the extra pound or two — it was being treated as if I was mistaken, when the mistake was clearly on their end. A small thing, maybe, but it left a bitter taste. Posting this so others stay alert. Double-check prices and don’t let them gaslight you if something seems off.
Even one star is a lot. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible my experience was at this Petro station. To begin with, the customer service was shockingly bad. The staff acted as if they couldn't care less about helping customers, with no greetings, smiles, or even basic politeness. Adding to the nightmare, their card machine was conveniently 'out of order' when I needed to pay for my fuel. Instead of providing a quick and efficient alternative, they handed me a form and assured me I could pay after 'a few days.' Little did I know that this was the start of an even bigger problem. A few days later, I received a letter from them, not to remind me to pay, but to threaten me with a fine if I didn't settle my bill promptly. It was outrageous! I followed their instructions to the letter, and this is how they treat their customers? To top it off, they mentioned involving debt collectors, which is not only excessive but also completely unnecessary. My experience at this Petro station has been nothing short of a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Their appalling customer service, malfunctioning card machines, and unjustified threats have convinced me to never set foot in there again. Avoid this place if you value your time, money, and sanity
