Meanwood Post Office

Staff are always friendly and helpful and efficient. It is always a nice place to shop. They have lots of funky Stationery and sweets to catch the eye while you’re waiting to be served in the post office. I always walk here rather than go to any other post office. It’s a great post office.

Extremely disappointing experience at this Post Office. Every visit turns into a problem as there’s always some excuse, like “the printer doesn’t work” or “we don’t have the system for that,” even though the machines are clearly right there. Today was the final straw. We received a Royal Mail notification saying our parcel had arrived, but when we came to collect it, the woman behind the counter didn’t even bother to check properly and just said, “Oh, it hasn’t come yet.” It felt careless and dismissive. I actually live in Meanwood, and this is supposed to be my local Post Office. But because of the constant issues and the way staff behave, I prefer going all the way to the Headingley branch instead if I have time even though it’s farther from home. That says a lot. The attitude here is consistently unhelpful and unpleasant. There also seems to be a difference in how they treat people depending on who they are, which is unacceptable for a public-facing service. A Post Office should be about fairness, respect, and reliability. Sadly, this one fails at all three. I genuinely hope Royal Mail reviews the standards of service here, because local residents deserve much better.

This post office is so amazing. The staff are the most lovely people ever and I have such a good experience every time I visit. They are really kind and always brighten up my day. Thank you for your hard work and cheeriness, it is highly appreciated!
