Contacted oakwood solicitors to put in a dental negligence claim not heard anything back, so I contacted them, and they said they have sent me an email stating they are not taking my claim on. Waste off my time. I contacted a different solicitor, and they contacted me back in less than 24 hours, and they are happy to take on my claim.

A very poor level of service from this firm. I first contacted them in late 2024 regarding chronic pain following surgery, and they agreed to take my case on in early January 2025. From the outset, communication was slow and my case was passed between multiple people, which made the process disjointed and frustrating. They obtained access to my medical records in early 2025 and advised these would be reviewed within 28 days. This deadline was missed, and I had to repeatedly chase for updates. I was later assigned to Oliver Kaye, who advised that a chronology needed to be prepared but provided no timeframe. This stage dragged on for months with very limited communication, requiring several follow-ups from me. In October 2025, after many months with access to my medical records and no change in my medical circumstances, I decided to chase up Oliver, no call or email was received, just a brief letter several days later stating they would no longer pursue my claim. No courtesy call was made to explain the decision, despite nearly a year of contact with the firm and around five months dealing directly with the same solicitor. I subsequently raised a formal complaint and requested a copy of my case file. After receiving no response, I chased again. On 6 November, the Head of Department, Rob Crompton, acknowledged my complaint and confirmed my full case file would be provided within 21 days. Despite me chasing again after 22 days with no communication, I have still received neither my file nor any meaningful update. It is now 22nd December. As a result of the continued lack of response and failure to meet stated timescales, I have now taken the appropriate steps to escalate this matter through the relevant channels. Overall, the service has been consistently slow, poorly communicated, and well below the standards expected of a regulated legal firm

Thank you so much to you all at Oakwood Solicitors who have been dealing with my fathers medical negligence. From start to finish you have remained loyal and professional to his case and my deceased father would be proud. So many many thanks for not giving in and staying with it until the end and thank you for a favourable end....🙂

Grim level of service. After an initial call where a quick triage of the facts were given. I was told to sit tight and somebody would come back to me for extended details once Oakwood have looked into it a bit. Over the next two weeks, I called to supply various pieces of evidence but never heard anything at all. Then, on one random day I got an email saying there was no evidence and not enough information. You guys were meant to call me back. I’ve been sitting waiting for you. And my injury has gotten worse with rest instead of better. You guys are disgusting.
