Very nice lare stationery shop. The book and magazine collection is maSSive. The second floor shows a huge collection of notes and diaries. They have a nice crafts section as well. The staff are also nice and helpful. They are also open during the second National lockdown which is nice.
Please. Just fix the lights. It’s so poorly lit in the store it’s hard to read the books. It’s so uninviting. Think of your poor staff being in the environment all day. I’m sure if you took a light meter into this store it would fall below the legal standard of workplace illumination.
For the love of WHS, please take a moment to go outside and notice how uninviting your shop is. Middle of the day and the place looks closed due to the place looking like it's in total darkness. Get some brighter lights, and get some creative minds to work on your windows. I am writing this in the hope that you might see an increase in traffic because I had to take a couple of looks to see if you are open or not. I just thought it was waiting to get boarded up.
A really nice stationary shop with a great selection of stationary at a really reasonable price. This store also has a really good and extensive book store which often has books I've struggled to find at other shops.
The store is so badly lit it should not be open - 90% of the ceiling grid lights are out and have been for several months. The situation is so bad that lighting has had to be installed on magazine racks so you can actually see! It is quite astonishing that from a facilities management standpoint it is deemed fit to open not to mention the obvious factors for disabled customers , visual impairments, neurodiverse conditions and staff wellbeing.
