Half Sugar

I haven’t been frequently but I have been 3/4 times since hearing about it and oh my god there drinks are amazing. The quality is fresh and delicious, all natural tasting and the straws are unique. We ordered a birthday cake for my brother and it was perfect, super delicious and fresh also the decoration was so cute and adorable !!!! 100% recommend. The cafe itself is a lovely place to sit with friends with cozy aesthetic and cute dolls - it is small though but amazing! They have different cake options everyday and their customer service is wonderful. Everyone is so polite and understanding !

Called in for a bite to eat and was absolutely amazed. Their cakes are so wonderful and you can taste the freshness in every bite. Cheaper than I expected too. Highly reccomend a visit!

It’s even not baked throughly and it’s so raw. We suffered from diarrhoea on the next day after trying a little bit of it. Horrible experience and ruined my birthday mood completely!

For a few years, my family and I had bubble tea at Half Sugar, and we were happy. Everything was fine until the last time. At our visit on Sunday, we ordered three different drinks to take away. We found a nice place outside to enjoy the weather and our drinks. My daughter took the first one and started swearing as it was leaking. She was very upset. I grabbed mine, and the tea was all over my hands and my cloth. My wife’s drink was leaking as well. However, she was a bit more accurate, she had her hands in bubble tea. Then she found that tapioca was missing in her drink. I had some tea leaves in my drink. I do not understand why there are tea leaves and how I should drink it. I never had tea with leaves. I do not want to eat them. All three of us had sticky hands, two wrong teas, so we all were very upset with the experience. We went back to Half Sugar. The lady at the counter was not very interested in our experience. She just gave us plastic lids, put some tapioca in my wife’s drink, and explained to me that it was just tea leaves. I refused to drink my tea as, from my point of view, the drink was completely wrong. I was offered no refund. The drink was binned. If you do not want to ruin your day, please avoid having a drink from Half Sugar. I do not recommend this place any more as the level of service becomes very low.

When I visited half sugar, I had never been to Leeds before.. will I go again? Maybe, just so I can visit this lovely establishment again. I will travel across the ocean just so I can go back to the place that will always hold a special place in my heart. So many options to choose from, something I couldn’t do. I asked the lovely lady working at the shop to help me decide.. and she did. The drink I wanted wasn’t available as there was one ingredient missing and the staff went through the effort of making what was needed for my drink so I could enjoy the drink I wanted most. They were so incredibly kind and patient. Lucy, I hope you’re having an amazing time.
