This one girl served us and she was so nice. She spoke to us about the DVDs that we bought (batman and dr who) and deserves a million quid cos she's great

I pointed out to a member of staff, recently, a book i looked through that contained some wording that could be construed as antisemitic/ homophobic. She glanced at it, saying something like "It depends when it was written", and placed it back on the shelf. Sure, they can't check every book that's donated, but could the book not have been withdrawn from sale, and checked through when time allowed ? !!! Maybe customer concern is not a priority at Oxfam Books !

One of the few interesting bookshops left in Leeds. A few short years ago there was Austicks, Borders, Miles etc. Since the one at Kirkstall closed last year only Oxfam remains among second hand books. Not as pricey as it used to be, it has been a happy hunting ground over the years for unusual items. Well worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.

Really great selection of books but goodness do they make you cough up for them! This place would be perfect if everything cost half to two thirds as much
