Deli chez Leeds

Ordered over phone for collection the African woman advised food will be ready in 10 mins; Went there in 10 mins and told her phone order and she said I’m going to make it now. Why lie and say 10 mins and make me come all the way to Burley rd on my lunch break and say you’re going to make it now. This really frustrated me as she wasted my time and no apology nothing just attitude. I used to be a regular here but not anymore I will also be reporting to trading standards due to selling multipack drinks and I will also contact food hygiene service to come and review this place as tables were left dirty with crumbs and grease. All the good deli chez have closed down except this one which does actually need closing down but don’t worry I will be reporting this on place to trading standards and food hygiene team. 😡

Nice place, fresh food. Not the cheapest so loses a star.

I placed a telephone order on 30/12/25 at around 16:27 for a jacket potato with tuna, cheese and butter. When I went to collect it, the woman serving me was very rude. During payment, she put the card machine down and walked away before the payment had even gone through. She didn’t wait, didn’t say anything afterwards, and didn’t even acknowledge me. I waited briefly expecting some confirmation or a simple thank you, but nothing was said. I’m always polite to staff, but the way I was treated made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, so I left without saying thank you or goodbye. Basic manners and customer service were completely lacking, which was disappointing. When I arrived home, I also realised the jacket potato was still quite hard inside, the cheese wasn’t even melted, and I couldn’t taste or see any butter at all.

Me and my Hubby came over today to grab a bite but the African lady serving us was so rude I’m sorry to say but Lacking customer service big time :( Defo we won’t go there again. Disappointed is a kind work .

ladies working there have no manners at all it’s like they’re forced to work. Huffing and puffing, Used to love coming here before, ordered a mix steak and rice she dint even ask me what salad I wanted and put on whatever she desired, also got a pastie the warmer was fully open and pastie was colder then outside. Staff need to cheer up! Mix steak was banging as usual apart from the salad I dint want.
