Queens Arcade is a charming and elegant Victorian shopping arcade in Leeds city centre. It is known for its decorative ironwork and glass roof, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Inside, visitors can find a mix of fashion shops, cafés, and eateries, making it a pleasant place to explore while walking through the city. Its combination of historic charm and modern retail gives it a unique character in Leeds’ shopping scene. Queens Arcade was built in 1889 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee and was designed by architect Edward Clark on the site of the former Rose and Crown Yard. The arcade originally included a hotel above the shops, and many of its original features have been carefully preserved. Over the years, it has maintained much of its Victorian elegance while accommodating modern retail. Today, Queens Arcade remains an important part of Leeds’ retail heritage and a popular destination for visitors and locals alike.
"Fantastic experience at my AL barber! The team use top-quality products and the hot towel shave is sublime. Always leave feeling refreshed and looking sharp. 5 stars isn't enough!"
Another Arcade in Leeds. Good to do some shopping and eat something different.
Traditional arcade with lots of interesting retail outlets and cafes. Has it's own tattoo parlour too. Best bit, when it rains, the arcade is under cover.
Boring. Was only.in there to avoid the rain.
