Had a bike fit with TeeJay and it was honestly so great. I couldn’t recommend it more. The whole fit was driven by loads of data points as well as how I actually felt on the bike. My bike feels so much more comfortable after the changes we made. She was very upfront about not trying to sell anything unless you actually need it, which I really appreciated. She was also really nice and made me feel comfortable throughout. Doing it in person was so much more helpful than trying to work it all out myself (or via ChatGPT), so if you’re thinking about getting a bike fit I’d definitely recommend going with TeeJay.

I had a bike fit with Teejay, and I cannot recommend her enough! I initially booked a bike fit with Woodrups as it’s my local bike shop, and it had also been recommended to me by a friend. Personally, I feel like some men in the cycling community can make you feel a bit daft (as a woman who is fairly new to cycling), so I was quite pleased to learn that my bike fit would be with one of the only two female bike fitters in the country! I’ve recently bought a new bike, and the fit with Teejay was incredibly comprehensive. I rode away feeling very comfortable after some minor adjustments. It’s amazing what a different 5mm can make! Teejay gave me some valuable advice. She’s also completely independent and impartial so I wasn’t made to feel as though I needed to spend tonnes of extra money for unnecessary extras which was a worry beforehand. 10/10 service! Thanks again!

Bike fit with Teejay at Woodrup Cycles: Initial Discussions - I contacted Teejay at Woodrup Cycles after a recommendation from a friend which spoke highly of Teejay's bike fit. I chose to ask for a full bike fit with cleat positioning and a physiological assessment. Getting booked in wasn't an issue - had a quick call with Teejay to find a date which suited both parties. I followed up with an e-mail outlining my sporting/injury history, bike specifications and what I was looking to achieve from the bike fit. When I arrived I was welcomed warmly by both the Woodrup team and Teejay. We then moved upstairs to Teejay's fitting room and opened with a discussion covering aims (improve comfort if possible but go looking for potential power gains), injuries, sporting history. Teejay is very easy to get on with and we quickly built up a rapport which made establishing aims and sharing information very easy. The Process - With this establish Teejay mapped the key points of my bike e.g. saddle height, reach, bottom bracket position and entered these into the bikefitting.com system along with key measurements from myself e.g. height, inseam, arm length etc. Teejay used this information to check is the bike frame was an appropriate a size and then to recommend a fitting solution using the bikefitting.com software. We then looked to actually fit the bike. This started with a repositioning of my cleats after which I jumped on the bike and we began to find a bike fit solution. Key point here - Teejay strikes an excellent balance using all of the tools at her disposal to find an appropriate fit. She didn't default to simply fitting to the software output but instead used this as a steer to make changes to the bike and used her experience to hone in on a comfortable fit. The result of my fit saw the saddle dropped and levelled allowing improved power delivery through the bottom of the pedal stroke (no more toe pointing), removal of back arch and a drop in the front end to improve hip angle. As this change required a change to the front end with spacers and a proprietary stem the Woodrup workshop team were roped in for support. Lovely chaps - had the bike tweaked in no time and allowed Teejay to crack on with the fit. With the fit finished I left with an adjusted bike with a temporary spacer to accommodate the awkward stem courtesy of the mechanics. The improvement in fit was noticeable in the room and has continued to impress since getting the bike home and testing in zwift races. Power is more readily available as glute recruitment is significantly improved. Noting to speak of in the way of niggles. Over the moon with the fit. Physiological Assessment - Unfortunately we ran out of time in the original fitting to accommodate the physiological assessment so I returned 2 weeks later to complete the scope. Teejay's assessment went looking for the body mechanics associated with on bike performance covering balance, core strength and potential muscular imbalances. Thankfully after having been put through my paces after a short warm up there were no significant issues, however, a glute / quad imbalance was spotted owing to sporting history. I walked away with a recommendation to improve glute med' strength which would further increase power through the pedal stroke and decrease knee discomfort which I've struggled with for years. Summary - Can't recommend Teejay enough. Her approach to bike fitting balances technology with experience and the physical capabilities of the subject to find an appropriate solution. It helps that Teejay is very easy to get on with. You should leave the fit with a much greater understanding of your physiology and how you can better interact with the bike. Well worth a visit to Woodrups.

Would highly recommend a bike fit with TeeJay. TeeJay was incredibly helpful in deciding what new bike to buy, then fitted me to that bike. I rode the bike the day after getting it and it felt perfect, with no niggles are a 100k ride. Made me realise what I had been putting up with for so many years on my old bike! TeeJay was flexible with what she offered and knew what she was talking about. I have already been recommending a bike fit with TeeJay to my friends. Woodrups have also been great when setting up my new bike. We are very lucky to have such a great local bike shop!

I handed over my Specialized Rockhopper bike for assembly and servicing, with all parts brand new and neatly packed. When I received it back, I noticed that the front wheel axle bolt had been replaced with an old, rusted part. I’m not sure what other original parts may have been changed without my knowledge. I paid £65 for the service, but my trust in this team was completely lost. If you plan to leave your bike with them, make sure to take photos of all parts beforehand. A very disappointing and upsetting experience.
