Litter strewn outside for days on end. Nobody can be bothered to pick it up. Security guards stand behind you while at the checkout yet seemingly don't challenge real shoplifters.
It's genuinely shocking how awful this sainsburys is. If prisons had a shop, this is what it would be. The doors aren't automatic. The security guard presses a button, which means you have to hope he's not scrolling on his phone when you want to get out. I can't believe it's even legal to lock you in the shop and be at the mercy of the security guard... it's not even a rough area! Then there's the rudeness of the staff, IF you can find one. I've had one of them be blatantly very sexist towards me, with the manager too disinterested to do anything. It's a shame, because it's a very good location to have the shop, we've needed it for years. Though expensive, the selection of food isn't too bad, and they have an orange juice machine (if the staff can be bothered to fill it). If you go at the right time and get lucky, it's pretty good for yellow stickers. Unfortunately, I am a captive audience. Though I try to go in there as little as possible, I sometimes don't have a choice. If I do go, I use smartshop and pay through the app, so I can be in and out as quickly as possible with (hopefully) no interaction with any of the staff.
This is a reliable Sainsbury's. Very conveniant. Saves you having to go in to town for shopping or a coffee. Service is brilliant. Staff are very polite. Very safe as security is always available.
