Before paying I asked for breakfast to be taken off my booking but was told that was not possible. I reluctantly went to be breakfast only to have a poor experience. The man at the counter said nothing to me when I walk past him but approached me when I was getting my breakfast and told me it was not included in my booking only to late see it was. The breakfast selection is limited and quite disappointing. Cereal, fruit, pastries and drinks. No hot food. Skirting boards could do with being painted. The view was very nice. For just the room it's good value for money and very closeto the city centre. Key card stopped working 20 minutes before check and I had to get it re activated to get my luggage
I booked for one night to catch a coach the next morning for my sons birthday trip away and he absolutely loved the view of the city centre. Location is great if your wanting to travel early the next morning from Leeds Bus Station. The room was very cheap so I didn't expect much but was nice to find a clean room with clean bedding. The room was plenty big enough for your basic needs. Reception was very friendly and helpful and check in was quick and easy. Couldn't have asked for a better start to mine and my sons birthday journey!
I had a lovely weekend visiting Leeds, the hotel is well located just a 15 minute walk from the city centre. I thought it was really good value for money, I travel to Leeds quite regularly to visit my daughter who is a uni student at Leeds Becket. In comparison to some of the places I have stayed the hotel is one of the best accommodations I have stayed in. The room was lovely and clean, it smelt amazing and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was really comfortable, I had the best nights sleep. The only downside was there was no tea making facilities in the room. I was able to get a hot drink from reception so it wasn't that much of an issue, just a little expensive when buying multiple cups. The staff were friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was a positive one. I really can't find fault with the hotel and I will definitely use this as my go to when visiting Leeds.
No frills hotel (it’s in the name!) but everything was modern, clean and enough for a short stay. Free toiletries but no kettle. Snack vending machines and continental breakfast were available downstairs. Friendly welcome. Nearest parking 5-10 mins walk at NCP £15 a day which I pre-booked. Overall a good Leeds city centre location and great rates if booked in advance. View from 7th floor, I was asked if I was ok with heights!
If could leave no stars I would. My sister in-law booked and paid for a room for my niece and her as they were traveling to London and this was a stop gap for them on their way home. They arrived at the hotel at 9am but couldn't check as it was too early so were allowed to leave their bags. The girls made the hotel aware that they were going to London and would be late back which the reception assure them was absolutely fine. When the girls arrived back from London at 3am they were told they had sold their room and couldn't check in. This is disgusting. The reception had told them they had tired to contact them but had no response but this isn't true as the number they had on file was my sister in-laws number who had her phone stuck to her while my niece was out waiting for her return. They girls have had to sit in the lobby until the 1st train back home. The fact the hotel think it's ok to sell a room that already has been paid for is unacceptable. The fact they think it's ok to leave 2 young girls with no where to go when they had paid for a hotel room is beyond me. To make matters worse the hotel are in contact able. We have been calling the hotel over and over with no response. I will never use ibis again.
