The Cottage is a local treasure and I’ve enjoyed films there for over seventy years. But please could you turn down the volume a bit on your magnificent hi-fi sound system, otherwise it'll be the end of an era for me? As I write this my ears are still ringing after ‘Marty Supreme’ last night – even though I used ear-plugs which I had with me after being deafened by ‘Conclave’ a year ago, and slightly less so by ‘Choral’ in November. Everything else is great - it's just the volume!
Lovely staff but the fact that it is an old cinema does not necessarily mean that cannot be done any improvement to better customers experience. Seats are old and dirty, bathroom is tiny and cold and some walls are coved in something that looks like mold. I didn't enjoy sitting there for more than two hours.
Brilliant cinema. One of a kind. Must visit. This was in my list to visit for years and I am now in love with it. It has been maintained its old vibes which adds to its uniqueness. The modern cinemas are no longer appealing to me. They screen new and old movies. Variety of drink and snack selections which you can get in small, medium and large. Ice creams available too. Reasonable ticket price and the staff are great.
Wow what a lovely cinema! Today was my first time going and I was so pleasantly surprised. Really quiet and intimate feel to it. Would massively recommend to anyone who wants a more at-home-like cinema experience. We saw ‘Flow’ and it was amazing!
A true gem of a cinema. Beautiful cinema, good prices on snacks and drinks and everyone working there always friendly and helpful. I no longer live in Leeds and me my partner both miss Cottage Road and going there together- it is truly a special place so thank you!
