Description

Hunslet Hawks, one of the founding clubs of the Northern Rugby Football Union in 1895, play in the Rugby League Championship, having been promoted from Championship 1 in 2011. Come along on matchdays to experience the passion shown by players and fans alike at a tense and atmospheric full-contact sporting event. The Phoenix Suite is open on matchdays for a relaxing drink as well as being available to hire on non-match days at an affordable rate.

Hunslet Hawks play at the South Leeds Stadium, yards away from the site of the famous old Parkside Ground and next to the world's oldest working railway, the Middleton Railway. During matchdays, the 2000 seater stadium and 120 capacity Phoenix Suite are open for supporters to experience the thrill of the full-contact, 80 minute sport that is rugby league. A warm welcome is guaranteed from the friendly staff. On non match days throughout the year, the recently-refurbished Phoenix Bar is available to hire for business conferences, sportsmen's presentation nights, club celebrations, family events, etc. at an affordable rate. A DJ and buffet can be provided, whether for a gathering of 20 or 120. Functions can last from 9 in the morning to the early hours. There is adequate on-site parking available. The stadium is within easy reach of the M1, M62 and M621 and has full accessibility for wheelchair users.
