This pub provided the cosy welcome needed to shelter from a freezing winters day. The atmosphere was beautifully relaxed during the day and for lunch we had some gorgeous pizzas and elevated sandwiches. 35% off Food through January was a bargain.
We went to Water Lane Boathouse for a friend’s birthday meal and drinks. There was indoor and outdoor seating; we sat inside. The atmosphere was vibey, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good variety of drinks, and the 50% off pizzas on Sundays between 5-8pm was a great. The long, bench-style tables were perfect for talking and socialising (however, not ideal for buggies). The pizzas were delicious! Ours were great, although one of our friends received a pizza with a crust that was quite heavily charred.
Been here a couple times for quiz nights and it's always so much fun! The atmosphere is cosy and inviting and the staff are always on their game. Food and drinks can get a bit spenny but quality makes up for it. Definitely becoming one of favourites in Leeds.
Big pub/bar set in nice location on the canal. Loads of seating inside and outside. Open kitchen on the upper level serving fresh cooked pizza, sandwiches, burgers etc . Its a shame this place does NOT accept cash. But still worth a visit.
Enjoyed an excellent lunch at Water Lane Boathouse! Arrived around 12:30pm on a very cold Sunday in January to find plenty of free tables, although there were quite a few reserved and it did fill up quite a bit later on so it might be advisable to book for larger parties. On Sundays there is a 50% off pizza deal and Amstell is only £3.50 per pint, so 2 pizzas and 2 pints only came to £18.95. Amazing value! The pizzas were both absolutely delicious. It was a difficult choice as there were lots of good options, but in the end, we opted for the spicy chicken and the meatball with caramelised onions. We were impressed that they arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. We were lucky to secure a window seat and had a lovely view of the dock (the water was iced over!) whilst we enjoyed our lunch.
