Lovely oddity, well off the beaten track. Would not of found without google maps! A couple of nice photos in the morning sun.
Have wanted to see this for a few years.Even though it's only 1/2 mile from where I live , I've just never had time until now. Shame it can't be restored to its former glory and relocated to where it was first built. I'm sure it would become an iconic landmark for Leeds if if did get relocated.
Found this by accident and never knew it even existed. I come running through the woodland here some mornings, as there are some great running tracks and it's really peaceful. One morning, I saw this structure and decided to have a look. It's apparently over a 100 years old and was built to try and entice Queen Victoria to visit Beckett's home, while she was on a visit to Leeds, sadly she never came lol. Its not worth going out of your way for, but if you visit Beckett's Park, then definitely come and have a nosey. You'll have to park on Queenswood Drive or somewhere outside the park and then come and look for it in the woodland, its situated in the woodland behind Beckett's Park University campus.
A good plays but not very good.
Stumbled across this in the dark. Would not recommend. Very creepy
