Armley Leisure Centre

Went for the public swim of 2 lanes and was denied with my family of 5. The lanes are 2 and for public swim of all ages and abilities and FUN it says, but we were refused as we had kids who had floaters, and it was for swimmers doing lengths. I asked if one lane is for lengths and the other for gently normal swim they said no... website should be updated then and more clear.

I just wanted to go for a relaxing swim with my partner and since we were not members, we called twice to ask about the details. But what they failed to say to us were about rules. We were told that it was public swim but when i went into the pool, after 5 minutes I was asked to leave because it was lane swim and i couldn’t swim the entire length. I understand the rules and regulations they should follow but you should mention those to the people coming there without a membership who don't know about the rules. I got a refund the session but the point was the waste of time and resources because pf the misinformation. We even felt like there was a profiling from the lifeguard.

Id suggest retraining the lady on reception. (Sunday 2nd at 1pm) Was told my son was 'too big' for the small pool and its under 8s only. When challenged as we came 3 weeks ago and there was no issue, was told 'you can come in today but next time you will be refused'. Quite rude really. Website states 'under 8s must be accompanied by an adult, over 8s dont need accompanying' (so over 8s are allowed)

First time at Armley swimming pool. Lovely facilities. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Changing area and pool very clean. Can't fault it.

i love going there i go every thursday and sunday the pool is great i love the woman who works at the cafe most days its just great! - 5 stars
