Great uni sports hall that is used for external bookings
Great facilities and amazing staff. I first came a few weeks ago and was helped out by a lovely lad called Joe/Joseph. To say I’m new to sport and my fitness journey, he was incredibly helpful and made me feel at ease with use of the facilities that the centre has to offer! :)
Very good sports centre! Far better than my old university's sports facility in London. Very supportive staff, very smiley guy at reception on the way in. My friend got injured during the match, and they responded very quickly.

I recently visited the Gryphon Centre and was deeply disappointed by the treatment I received from the staff. From the moment I arrived, I encountered extremely rude, dismissive and almost aggressive behaviour. As a young university student, I felt particularly targeted and assumed this was the reason for the condescending and unprofessional attitude. Despite the leisure centre's adequate facilities, the staff's behaviour completely overshadowed my experience. They were unhelpful, brusque, and made me feel unwelcome. This level of poor customer service is unacceptable and has left a lasting negative impression. I expect a much higher standard of professionalism and courtesy from a place that prides itself on serving the community. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the Gryphon Centre to anyone, especially fellow university students who might face similar treatment. This was unfortunately not a one time occurrence either, it has only been the most recent visit over the last 12 months that pushed me to leave this review, this behaviour has been prevalent from my first visit and consistent throughout the year.
