Pool is too warm. Humidity in the changing rooms makes me feel like I’m drying myself off in the Amazon rainforset. Must cost the council a fortune in heating. Turn down the heat Scott Hall, I beg of you.
Absolutely Disgusting Hygiene Standards; If I could give zero stars, I would. The bathroom and shower facilities at Scott Hall Leisure Centre are hands down some of the filthiest I’ve ever seen in a public building. The smell hits you before you even walk through the door – like a mixture of damp, mold, and sewage that’s been left to fester for weeks. The showers are caked in grime, with tiles that look like they haven’t seen proper cleaning in months. Mold is visibly growing in the corners, the drains are clogged and overflowing, and the water pressure is laughably poor. You leave feeling dirtier than when you went in. The toilets are just as bad – broken seats, tissue scattered across the floor, and sinks that are either blocked or covered in some mystery residue. It’s clear no one is checking or maintaining these facilities regularly. For a leisure centre that charges membership fees, the state of the hygiene here is an absolute disgrace. I honestly wouldn’t recommend using the bathrooms or showers here unless you want to risk catching something. Until management decides to take hygiene seriously, I’d advise anyone considering this place to look elsewhere.
Waters generally nice and warm. The water looks clean. But the changing room are disgusting, always smell of urine, peeling paint, little piles of hair behind doors. Dusty ceiling.
Gym has had a refit and is excellent - staff are friendly and accessible ... very good service all round
Not the cleanest of places, but ok for getting your gym an swim work out done.
