Lots of very busy local staff cheerfully packing shelves when I popped in Friday morning. A really small entrance but once inside it's a decent size Tesco selling everything you'd expect. The store is part of Bramley Shopping Centre so it doesn't have it's own car park; the car park is manic for both pedestrians and car users alike so beware.
Be careful of the dates in this store, because they are not. Warburtons bread on sale on the 4th that was out of date on the 2nd. Informed the bread aisle guy that was loading the shelves and he couldn't care less, totally indifferent to what I was saying. This is not an isolated case, I've got goods home many a time to realise they are out of date. Its simply not good enough, up your game! Staff in this store treat the place like a social club where customers needs come second. It's time someone with a bit of authority gave the staff in this store a kick up the rear end. Not a good shopping experience at all!
Well stocked, good variety of items available, polite staff. The downstairs area could be signaged a bit better and wine selection could be more diverse.
Amazing store amazing products and prices only let down is after years of knowing where everything is they change everything but still a great store
Decent reduced to clear offering of an early evening but that’s where the merits end. A lot of empty shelves and limited stock considering the size of the store, such as toiletries. I tried to use the self checkout, but it wouldn’t recognise the barcode on the first item I tried to scan. Since the two employees there were ignoring me, I went to the human checkout. The same problem occurred, but the poor woman was so old that she was unable to read the numbers to input them manually, so I read them out to her. I paid with the debit card on my phone because I’d forgotten my card, and it took a few attempts for the reader to recognise it. After it worked, the employee said she thought I was going to have “a massive coronary” because my card wasn’t working, which I found rude especially as I was doing nothing of the sort but calmly refreshing the card on my phone to make it work. She then sort of casually flung my receipt to me, despite having politely asked the previous customer if she wanted her receipt. Well I realise this is some sort of care in the community effort, which is all well and good but not if they’re being rude to customers.
