Moto Leeming Bar

Moto Leeming Bar ticks the essential boxes for a road-weary traveler: coffee, fast food, fuel, and a place to park and stretch your legs. It’s a functional stop along the A1, and while the facilities weren’t quite as polished as other Moto locations we visited on our trip, it still served its purpose. The highlight? A reliably excellent cup from Costa Coffee. That familiar aroma and smooth espresso were just the pick-me-up we needed before heading deeper into the countryside. Bonus points for the free restroom break—always a welcome perk when you’re on a tight tour schedule. If you’re passing through and need a caffeine fix or a quick bite, Moto Leeming Bar delivers. Just don’t expect luxury—this one’s more about convenience than charm.

I was disappointed with my stay, as the overall standard wasn’t quite what I expected. The toilets, in particular, were not great—they felt a bit unkept and in need of more regular cleaning and maintenance. It’s one of those things that can really affect your impression of a place, and unfortunately it didn’t leave the best feeling. The surrounding area also looked a little neglected, with a few abandoned buildings nearby, which added to the sense that the location wasn’t being cared for as well as it could be. That said, there were a couple of positives. The McDonald’s close by was actually quite good. It was clean, the service was fast, and everything seemed to run efficiently. It was convenient to have somewhere reliable to grab a quick bite, especially when the rest of the stay didn’t quite meet expectations. Overall, while there are some redeeming points, the experience was let down by the general upkeep and appearance of the facilities. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and improvements to the surrounding area, it could be a much more welcoming place. As it stands, though, it feels like it needs some care and investment before it can be fully recommended.

Interesting little services, accessible though a wormhole just off the A1, straight into 1970s Britain. I was lucky on the day of my visit, as it coincided with the international terrible parking competition, which was fun. Its rumoured that Benny can sometimes be seen wandering around the derelict buildings, looking for Miss Dianne. Not the best services but conveniently situated. would visit again.

Amazing amazing experience at Costa Leeming Bar rest area. I needed a dairy free drink and unfortunately the costa frappe mix has dairy in it. They not only checked this to make sure, they managed to improvise me a very tasty blended ice/cold coffee/caramel coffee syrup/soy milk/non-dairy cream drink that was amazing! Huge thanks to Debs and Shannon for being so friendly and helpful and thoughtful and creative!!

Outstanding Service from Debbie and Caroline I recently visited the Costa at Moto Leeming Bar and was thoroughly impressed by the excellent service provided by Debbie and Caroline. Both demonstrated the highest standards of professionalism and friendliness throughout my visit. They were attentive, courteous and ensured that my order was prepared perfectly. The café itself was clean, well-presented and offered a welcoming atmosphere — a true credit to the team. Debbie and Caroline’s warm approach and genuine customer care made my stop exceptionally pleasant. Their efforts truly reflect the quality and hospitality that Costa is known for. Highly recommended.
