Leyburn Long Stay Car Park

Layburn is really worth a visit. Had a lovely afternoon out, visting and exploring the area. We expected a larger market - its tiny, but still lots of variety on offer. Stopped for a pub lunch and then a trip to the Shawl. Free parking (open to donations) across from the old police station. There is also a larger pay and display carpark, just a short walk from the market square. Overall, a niceway to spend a morning/afternoon.

A good carpark behind the pub. You can usually find a place when the market place is full. The machine takes cash and card. Entrance from the market place, look for the long stay sign, exit next the the fire station.

Use this carpark for when I go hiking, toilets nearbye. Plenty of cafes and shops. Beautiful area for walks.

It's a car park! Leyburn is a small market town in Wensleydale and it has a really good selection of shops, cafés pubs, etc. etc. This car park sits right behind the shops making town centre access really easy.

I visited for the recycling, which is located there. It desperately needed to be emptied by the bin men, as bins were overflowing. And if they can't visit more often, more bins are needed. Too much rubbish had been left on the ground, as a result of bins being overfull. Maybe this is a holiday season problem? But it needs attention.
