James Fryer Mechanic

An outstanding mechanic, and incredibly trustworthy. My three Land Rovers and other cars have been entrusted to him for some years now, and I would not hesitate to recommend him for any work that needs doing.

Had an issue with a brake having arrived on holiday nearby. Called James on a Saturday morning and he was able to check the issue immediately. Fixed it quickly. A gentleman and I can't recommend highly enough.

Had a steering problem late at night while on holiday. You get so used to power steering that it's very hard to manoeuvre, particularly when parking!!!! I phoned James first thing next morning and he said I could bring it in and he would have a look. Got there and he looked at it straightaway, diagnosed the problem with a part of the power steering but said the pump was ok. He got on the phone and sourced the part and said it would be a couple of hours to get it; only 15 mins to fit and check over with more fluid and whatever had to be done. All the "big boys" in the area could only see me in 2 to 3 weeks. He called a cab for me to get back to holiday village, great cabbie called Mick, and phoned about 2 and half hours later as car was ready. Got Mick back and picked up car in great working order. The steering was great. He was very friendly, professional, very positive and got me out of a hole while 200 miles from my usual garage. It was a really good job and a very fair price. I know I could have driven it without power steering but it would have been a hard, and possibly dangerous, journey home. I would have no hesitation in recommending James,and would definitely use him again if I was in the area and needed something sorted. 11 out of 10

Jim was absolutely amazing. Super friendly and honest. He sorted us out in a pinch with a busted radiator hose at a very reasonable price. We can't thank him enough

James is a Very nice and honest gentleman. We had low tyre pressure warning and got it checked from him. He dint charge a penny but patiently set it right. Highly recommend.
