Excellent location, near cathedral, market place. OK bar, nice breakfast, the granola was very nice, large bedrooms, friendly service. There may have been some parking round the back near the many no parking signs but the public parking near Sainsbury's was very good value by UK standards at £2.90 all day. Some problems with the toilet flush but was assured it would be sorted immediately. Suggest they have some coasters / beer mats on the nicely varnished bedside cabinets.

Came here spontaneously for sunday lunch, the staff were really fantastic and were able to get a table for me and my girlfriend despite not having made a booking and us coming at such a busy time. Sunday lunch was fantastic, I went for the lamb and my girlfriend had the chicken, we both enjoyed our meals and left feeling very satisfied. Would definitely recommend!

Had a fantastic meal. Excellent service and beers also very good. Food was well presented and very tasty. We had the lamb rump and coley Thai curry. The lamb was pink and very tasty. Both meals were very filling.

It's a old building but it's a lovely place. The evening meal was the best I've had for a while. We opted for the £150 deal. Bed, breakfast and 3 course evening meal for two. I would highly recommend

We had absolutely delicious fish and chips here, genuinely one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Crispy batter, melt-in-the-mouth fish, and brilliant chips. The staff are also really lovely and there’s a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
