Westgate 23 is a lovely modern pub in a old school town. It's recommended by Camra and awarded as the summer pub of 2022. For my visit on a late Sunday afternoon. I've had a nice fresh beer served by a lovely member of staff. Which is refreshing. There's no football, but a lovely playlist of music. Perfect for chatting with others in the venue. I've noticed that the venue hosts bands during the weekend. I would like to check that out some day. I hope that more people will check out this pub as it's been missed out on.
Homely but lovely Town centre pub. Great music venue at the rear. Prefer cash, so very much a pub if the people.
Had a great time. Clean and comfortable. Landlady was friendly and attentive. Good jukebox. Good pool table..
