Had an overnight stop on a Saturday with 3 friends. Staff all very welcoming and friendly. Rooms were lovely, clean and bed was comfy. We ate in the pub and the food was excellent. The fish and chips portions were huge and the two friends who had it said it was as good as it looked! The chicken parmo was very good and toasted off under the grill so the cheese was like Welsh Rarebit - Yum!! Also some nice Vegetarian choices and the Veggie in our group was very happy. Breakfast was also lovely, and the Lady looking after us was really friendly and helpful. Not always the case at 8.30 on a Sunday morning! A couple of things to be aware of; the car park is sloping and surfaced with chippings not tarmac, so if you're on a motorbike (we all were), be careful when parking! Also, there is a busy campsite next to the pub and people were coming in for the great food and drinks, so if you visit in the main holiday season, best to book for food! A lovely, friendly, well-run pub. We'll definitely be back!!

Stayed a couple of times here when I've visited Yorkshire in recent years. with friends and family. And I can honestly say they do the best full English breakfast I've ever had. Rooms are really comfortable and tastefully designed. Dog friendly which is always a positive.
