This review is just about The York House Hotel Restaurant and Bar, not the caravan park. The customer service of the bar staff was lacking and a pint of coke was, shockingly, served from a bottle of room temperature flat coke. The food was inadequate and lacking in quality. The salad looked like it was served straight out of a bag, and the burger straight from a box of frozen burgers, and tasted like it too - tough and tasteless. We would never go back to the York House Hotel for food or even a drink, ever again, and would not recommend it to anyone else sadly.
Lovely place and rooms. Unfortunately wasn't aware of the public bar and loudness and banging of doors late night from a bunch of people from the caravan park next door.... Especially in the room above the bar (can't comment on other rooms) Definitely not the owners fault and will return to take up the offer of a free night as we're leaving early (lack of sleep)
Great hotel! Quiet, colorful, and very, very welcoming! Proprietors make you feel special and they are incredibly helpful. Would definitely stay here again and for longer if I return to the area.
A hidden jewel. Amazing food. Breakfasts to die for! Very warm and welcoming. Really clean. Deserves more than five stars!!
Great host (Michael), comfortable room and a great breakfast. Quiet location and a friendly pub with great meals. Highly recommended
