The Barn Holiday Cottage

Lovely cottage located roughly halfway between York and Harrogate. Friendly and helpful owners live next door. Designated parking space. The place is furnished and equiped to a high standard. Pleasant garden and views over fields. One tv, good shower, towels and hairdryer provided as well as a dvd, cd/radio, microwave, cooker, fridge freezer, kettle etc. As an old property, the floors do include occasional steps in slightly unexpected places and as it's split level (with lounge and second (double) bed upstairs it may not be suitable for some with disability issues. There is a signposted walk across fields opposite that I have yet to try but otherwise a car is needed for access and shops etc. Owners very happy to answer questions or recommend pubs/supermarkets etc. They were quick to answer and assist with a heating issue we encounterd.

Yorkshire is an interesting area with lots to do. The house is fully equipped and clean. Very kind hosts.

Great place to stay. Clean and well presented. Lovely hosts, available if needed. Very much enjoyed our stay and would like to stay again in the future.

We have stayed here 3 times now. Great place to get away from city life. Lots of places to visit a stones throw away and the York Park and ride 10 minutes down the road.

Great place to stay, fantastic host and close to numerous places to visit. Dog friendly.
