Wow, I love this place. We went in for Sunday dinner today. It was absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The prices are great and very big compliments to the chef. The food is fantastic.
Step back in time with a pint or two in a 400 yr plus manor house. So much upkeep but that's a charm too.. must try the Sunday lunch soon..
An interesting place! This historic building has sadly slipped into disrepair (the cost of upkeep must be significant) and its presentation would put many people off going inside, which is a pity because what this place offers has much to commend it. We went for a Sunday lunch and found the Roast Beef dinner both tasty and great value for money - 2 for £15. The service was friendly and attentive. Despite this, the pub/restaurant was quite quiet at the time of our visit. Mind you, there's little outside to advertise what the place offers, apart from a small A-board with details of their special offers; it would be easy to pass and not even notice it! However, if you're open minded and can see past the rundown look, Kershaw House is worth a visit.
We were served by Chris the owner, he was quite rude and unhelpful.
Had a sunday lunch there 3rd september. Food delicious and service fantastic. Very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend kershaw house to anyone who wants to enjoy first class food in a nice quiet friendly environment. Proud to call it my local.
