About Sunny Bank Guest House

Description

Surrounded by mature wooded gardens and with spacious car parking we have three en-suite bedrooms all elegantly furnished. Each room has been individually decorated reflecting our personal approach, and offers the full range of modern facilities.Sunnybank provides comfortable, luxury accommodation in an easy going, relaxed atmosphere.

A ‘Deliciously Yorkshire’ awarded breakfast is served in our oak-panelled dinning room in front of a roaring open fire (in winter) with wonderful views across the Holme Valley hillsides. We also use this fabulous room for our memorable candle lit evening meals. We go to a great deal of effort to use local, high quality produce, from award winning sausages (No.1 in the country!) to the delicious honey from the nearby Denholme hives. Guests are welcome to enjoy the extensive gardens, with forks and spades being provided free of charge to the horticulturally inclined!

We regret we are unable to accommodate pets or children under eight years old (that’s the children not the pets!)

Featured in The Good Hotel Guide, The Michelin Guide and Alistair Sawday’s ‘Special Places to Stay’, Sunnybank also has a Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor.

It is ideally positioned for walkers, cyclists, sightseers, Picturedrome visitors and those on business, The late Georgian, early Victorian detached house with spectacular views across the Holme Valley and situated next door to St John's Church where Bill Owen (much loved Compo Character) is laid to rest.
