Chapel Gate Parking

Chapel Gate is perfectly located for starting some incredible walks. It's great to see the Yorkshire Dales National Park offering transparent and reasonable tariffs that contribute directly back to the park. Public toilets are next to it. ​Current Rates (YDNPA standard): ​Up to 2 hours: £3.80 ​Over 2 hours: £6.00 ​Up to 24 hours: £7.00 ​It's open 24/7 for parking, though charging hours apply. Best of all, they're installing EV charging points, making this a brilliant stop for electric vehicle owners. A smooth, convenient and essential start to any Dales adventure!

Car park has decent sized spots, and convenient for nearby walks. On street parking is cheaper if available as this car park prices same as others in Yorkshire Dale car parks, e.g. £3.50 for up to two hours, £5.50 above that. Toilets mostly clean and have paper.

We got to this car park at 8.30am as we had been told how busy it gets. There were only minimal cars at that time but by the time we got back to carpark at 12.15 it was full and the cars were parked all along the road but they had opened a field for the overflow

Car park had plenty spaces the day I visited on a Monday.

This is the main car park in Malham. Pay and display car parking machines onsite. Free toilets. Map on the wall of various walking routes you can take for malham.
