Worked with smiths threw cra-cro agency and they are refusing to pay our money. 12 dorm rooms to paint. 2 coridoors. 2 flight of stairs lobby kitchen and then gloss through out. £1915 price. (Low price to start with) 8 days spent 2 painters me and my partner. Owe us £957.50 each before tax. Refusing to pay. Partner just had a baby and my sons birthday in.1 week and now I have to mess about contacting my solicitor to deal with this. The job has took over 60 hours each so based on pay our hourly rate works out to less than 15 an hour. I have over 200 quid in this job from fuel and parking costs. Will be returning to job to take back my work!! Avoid like the plague. We were never told from the agency who the contractor was before going to the job .. wonder why.. then they claim it’s due to poor workmanship. We were that poor we were being offered more before finishing the first. You guys make ur own mind up but surly when all posts say the same I find it hard to believe we are all bad tradesman with poor work. If not paid by Monday my work will be removed and then they will see poor workmanship. Also they have commented saying we can return to put things right but I have in writing from the agency stating smiths don’t want us back on site? Contradicting. Writing in here what they think the public want to see. We have returned to site once already to do cleaning and they claim still not good enough .. claim paint missing and in finished but from the full page report they have only showed evidence of excess paint to some furnishings that need wiping. We have been fair enough to say deduct money for labourer to put right since reading the report that we are not wanted back on site and smiths seem to think that the deduction should be or full money 1915 between 2 painters 8 days work over 60 hour 160 quid in fuel and 40 pound to park on the site we were doing the work for. Pay my money or just you try keep us off site!!

This is the first time we have commissioned Smiths painters to work on our units and I have to say what a breath of fresh air it is to deal with such a proffesional and friendly company. The team were punctual, polite and skilled leaving us with an extremely high quality finish. The rates were highly competitive and left no mess behind! Don't think about it just hire them.

Verry bad company , they dont pay u right ,2 days work hard no breaks and they pay verry bad ! Dont work for Smith! The germans try to dont pay u I was on price work 3 bed house , coalk and fill 1 day , undercoating another day and they pay me 100£ ....the Forman said to the site manager I dunno just that and they have this bad app uattend Which u can not log in and out

Dont believe Covid is real and send death wishes on people that do on Instagram. Use that information as you please. They obviously dont care to use their official account to spread misinformation and hatred.

Don't bother, the review section is a complete laugh ,after 5 months working for Smiths I realise how they treat peoples ,you are only good when they make money with you ,when it's time to go you get the "bad workmanship card" ,when you try to go and see whats going on nobody is there and the job was snagged behind your back and when you decide to leave they ask you to come back, every question or argument you have is not listened and they got the answer for everything ... sad that I have to go home now and explain this to my wife but hey keep your heads up and stay far from Smith Painters Ltd ,I got one week unpaid at all and I done another 3 apartments from Monday to Thursday and I'm sure I'm not getting paid for them either ,I got Smithed Up lol ,so avoid avoid avoid
