Stumbled into the whiskey shop for a “browse” and James happened to come through the secret door… well, it’d have been rude not to explore! What an amazing place (we didn’t do much reading tho ;-)

The Library is one of those places that's so good you have to carefully decide if you really want everyone else to know about it or should it just remain a closely guarded secret. The atmosphere is what I can imagine a Prohibition era speakeasy would have been and this is only enhanced by the need to know which book on the shelf will open the hidden front door! Once you make it inside the staff are amazing, both friendly and knowledgable about the wide range of quality drinks on offer. Along the back wall you'll notice neatly presented 'lockers' that are owned by a select few to store drinks bought from the equally excellent whisky shop downstairs and further enhancing the slightly illicit feel of the place. Needless to say I strongly recommend you take the time to check out The Library - just don't tell anyone else about it.

Fantastic recreation of a 1920s speakeasy. This “hidden bar” has a fantastic range of bourbon and whiskeys, ranging from £6.50 a shot to £150+ for some. They also have wines, beers and various gins. A real treat for any whiskey drinker.

Amazing selection of whisky. Great staff and lovely setting. If you are a whisky drinker and find yourself in the area definitely visit.
