I recently visited this charming little café known for its sandwiches and refreshments, and it was a delightful experience. We tried the pork pie, which was savory & just the perfect size for my lil one. The roasted beef sandwich was particularly impressive; the horseradish added a fantastic zing, and the brown bread complemented it perfectly. Even the side salad was fresh and enjoyable. Despite the café being quite busy, the staff remained surprisingly hospitable, handling the pressure with grace. It’s always nice to see a place bustling with regulars, especially on market day. Overall, I had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning for more of their delicious offerings. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by!

I can't praise this little deli enough. The 2 lads who were taking orders and serving where great. Very friendly and efficient. The lady in the kitchen cooking everything was also friendly and helpful as we needed the loo and dhe kindly let us use the staff toilet. I had eggs benedict with mushrooms £12.70 from the breakfast specials menu and was really tasty. My partner had a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich on seeded bread £8 and said that it was one of the best he's had. The shop itself sells all sorts of chutney's, relishes, quiche, pie's, colslaw, various sausage rolls, wine, beers and pre-made meals, cheeses, crisps and lots more. There's a few tables inside and also a few tables outside under a gazebo. I understand that there's an antique shop upstairs but I didn't visit so cannot comment.

Served awesome sandwiches & salads today by Will who is just an outstanding young fella!! A real credit to his generation. Very friendly, funny, chatty, not just to us but all the others who came in. Honestly, a breath of fresh air. I wish him luck and success in his studies at university🥰

Nice little place, with very cheery & helpful staff. We only came in to see if you had any plain scones (which you did, and we bought!) I did spot some very tasty looking Battenberg cake so ordered a hefty slice, along with some Red Velvet & Coffee & Walnut. Apologies to the Baker, but that Battenberg wasn’t pleasant at all. It had a floral flavour and buttercream? I was really looking forward to our cakes, but alas they weren’t good. I’m all in favour of trying new recipes etc, but Im afraid you’d be better off sticking to the traditional. It may seem petty, but we spent £25.00 on a few slices of cake and didn’t enjoy any of them. Had we eaten in, I would have mentioned it at the time, but we didn’t eat them until much later that evening. Everything else looked good, the place was clean and staff were great. I can only comment on my experience, and unfortunately it was this.
