Ordered Regular Haddock and Chips tonight having not previously visited. The fish and chips were cooked fresh to order, they were piping hot when I got home. The Haddock was fresh, soft and so flavoursome, the batter was light and crispy. The chips were delicious, crispy and not greasy. This was an exceptional portion of fish and chips and very good value for money. I would highly recommend anyone ordering from here.

Large haddock, portion of chips and tried the curry sauce, all was quality, most would like the curry sauce, just a little too sweet for me, large haddock was indeed large, and very good, fresh. Chips are decent, good size all was £13, although I need to get a regular and try the peas or gravy , great atmosphere and friendly lady serving, also very clean and room to park, il try this place for a while instead of thompsons, will be interesting to see the comparison in regular haddock/cod to Thompsons next time, Peasey Hill in all from what I’ve seen is on par with Thompsons and better in other ways, but those 2 so far by miles better than others in the area so far, that’s including all that rubbish in York.:) If you just want a large fish and chips n nothing else it’s a 5 star, I’m not keen on the peas, too stodgy, I do get why they do thicker, to stop leaks out of the pot I guess, same with the gravy.
I’m sitting in a car park eating my chips and peas ( because I’m weird that way) and I am a great believer in giving your strips when you earn them…. But Jesus wept are these the best chips I have ever had….i don’t know if it’s because it’s the first batch cook or new oil or if they are always this good… but man alive these are some quality chips ..see you Thursday when I’m back in your area ….
Order from here all time and I can safely say won’t be again . Fish was greasy from the get go clearly fish not drained as they were busy all the batter pealed off on the paper by the time it was home. And to top it off found 5 bones in the fish so didn’t even eat my dinner £30 down the drain . I understand you can’t get all bones but to find 5 in every mouthful I ate is just not on especially at the price won’t be returning . Waste of money
