Delicious little restaurant! All day breakfast, which is cool. The sandwiches were first rate, as was the cake. The service was fast and friendly. I would definitely come back here.

AVOID. Travelled to Malton for an evening wedding do and found this tea room for lunch. Waited to be served alongside another couple whilst other tables were being served who came in after us. The young girl serving was out of her depth and had no support as she was running around apologising for the delay in food. Eventually ordered after half an hour wait and several prompts, and waited further half an hour to be served. The other couple had left at this point due to the wait. Food arrived, hot beef sandwich and chicken sandwich, was luke warm, poor quality and the gravy was dreadful. Waitress asked if the food was fine and I advised not, and she started to cry stating how stressed she felt. The Manager was extremely unprofessional, defensive and in need of training in customer service. I advised that due to the service and quality of food, I would not be paying the full price. The Manager then threatened me with the police rather than discuss the situation as adults. Eventually she agreed to accept the mere £5 off that I had suggested. Interestingly at the wedding do, others had had similar experiences in regards to delays.

The atmosphere was ok when we walked in, and the food selection was decent. We were a bit surprised at the slow service with how empty the place seemed and the dirty table we had to sit at was never noticed or cleaned. The food was beautiful, I was pleased to see that the Yorkshire pudding looked home made and not some ready made Aunt Bessie kind or similar. We were thinking of trying the desert options but waiting for someone to come back and see if we wanted any was far too long, so we lost interest and decided to just pay and leave. We had a really great time and people were friendly.

Nice little cafe in Malton. Fairly old building that has lots of character. If your tall be carefull and watch out for the chandelier going to the bathroom. Food was ok, we had a breakfast, but the Sunday lunch looked very good.

20 mins plus to get served our drinks, 40 mins to get served food. If we could get another table at a different place in town close by, we would have left. Small and full English breakfast ordered, size wasn't great, and bacon and sausage were naff. The atmosphere was poor based off people being upset by their wait.
