On several occasions, Zest chargers, including this one, have tripped off before my car reaches 100%. All other commercial chargers I use reach 100% without issue. As I'm sure most EV drivers will have noticed, its those last few percentage points that give you the range. In my experience, this problem seems to be only connected with Zest. So what do you do when this happens? You try again, naturally. And the charger trips off again. So you try again. And the charger trips off again. So you give up. The problem is that you are subject to a minimum £0.40 charge each time you retry. In other words, you are paying £0.40 for negligible power delivered. I can’t help thinking this is a scam to extract more money from customers. On a positive note, at least the app worked.
