I book online - easy- I receive a text confirmation and reminder I was seen as soon as I walked in the door. Eyes tested and discussion around my dry contact lenses. The optometrist offered me a trial lenses to try. I then asked to select some replacement glasses and Dan was so thorough and quick in doing my glasses assessment and purchase. All sorted in one appointment

Had my eye test at Malton and honestly, it was a great experience. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming, and the optometrist really took the time to explain everything clearly. The whole visit felt relaxed but super professional — no rushing, no pressure, just genuine care. The equipment looked really up to date, and they made sure my prescription was spot on. I also liked that they gave helpful advice about glasses without trying to push any sales. Definitely recommend Malton if you want excellent service and people who truly care about your eye health!

What tells you most about a business is how they handle it when things go wrong. I had a pair of glasses from the Malton branch last April, and recently the paint coating has started to peel off in an unsightly way -- faults can happen with any product. I took them back today, at the end of December, and they immediately replaced the frames with an identical pair they had in stock, while I waited and without quibble. Excellent service.

I needed a pair of Varifocals for driving, together with a pair of Readers. Eye tests were carried out out by Louise and the resulting prescriptions were spot on. I had some issues with the fit of the Varifocals, and over several visits, various tweaks were tried, to no avail. It was made clear that there would be no problem with changing to a different frame at no additional cost to me, and this has now been done, and they fit perfectly. Throughout, the various staff members were very helpful and courteous, in trying to resolve the problem, and I would thoroughly recommend this optician practice to anyone. They don't come any better! Hi I came for an rye test yesterday ( Monday 8th December at 2.15pm.i am disabled and have Paul did the test , but also went on to shine an exceeding bright light into both my eyes after I had explained the I have corneal dystrophy and very light sensitive corneas that soon peel away . He was unsympathetic and not very pleasant. I won't be using the malton store again .
