A visit to Malton is not complete without an exploration of the treasures at Greyhound Antiques. The owner is knowledgeable and helpful, and the range of items is impressive and very well priced. We have always bought something on our visits, and this gem of a shop is a joy to rediscover time and again. Karen and Stephen x
Incredibly snobby staff. I knew it would be bad when there was no greeting as we walked in. It got worse when we made some polite enquiries about the menu in the café area, with a view to catering for my 82-year old mother. Then when we asked about some deals on antiques, my wife was spoken to sarcastically. We walked out.
I went at the end of the day so I didn't get much chance to fully look around but from what I briefly saw I was impressed; there are plenty of different/interesting antiques to pique anyone's interest particularly to anyone of an engineering background.
Always worth a wander around. Not just antiques - also lovely fragranced candles (proper ones not naff ones) as well as beautiful stationery.
Quirky and interesting on a small scale. Would visit again.
